Cannabis is cultivated in a former tomato greenhouse in Hellevoetsluis, The Netherlands. This is one of the ten cultivation sites that is participating in a government experiment. On Sunday morning, the blinded greenhouse has been broken into. The greenhouse is surrounded by fences and concrete blocks and monitored by security cameras. According to Dutch local broadcaster Rijnmond, as far as known, nothing was stolen. A 25-year-old man from Vlaardingen has been arrested. The break-in has caused unrest among local residents.

The mayor informed Rijnmond about his understanding of the residents' concerns. He also mentioned that he is currently considering whether potential measures are necessary. At the moment, special security requirements are already in place. This is one of the reasons why the police were able to respond quickly.
