US (SD): New cannabis testing facility to open in Rapid City

A new cannabis testing facility, Triverity Analytical, is set to open its doors in Rapid City by the end of March, the first such facility in western South Dakota, and only the second for the state as a whole.

Currently, the only option for the retail cannabis market in South Dakota when it comes to testing is Cannabis Chem Labs, located in Flandreau.

With a number of cultivators and manufacturers in western South Dakota, the potential market for Triverity is built-in.

Triverity CEO Wendi Young spoke with Keloland News ahead of the lab's March 19 open house. Young said that Triverity got its start in the world of hemp, with a lab in the UK and another in Colorado, which opened in 2021.
