CAN: Grower installs LED grow lights for its 6-acre greenhouse

A major Canadian licensed producer (LP) of medical and recreational cannabis announced today that it has selected LumiGrow as its LED lighting partner for its ~6-acre cannabis greenhouse expansion.

“We have chosen to deploy LumiGrow smart LED lighting solutions throughout our greenhouse expansion,” said the LP’s President.  “We’ve carefully reviewed all other top LED producers on the market and have done a test run of the LumiGrow fixtures. We’ve decided to go with LumiGrow for their proven success in our indoor cultivation, industry-leading warranty and their smart wireless control system. It’s important for us to adhere to stringent quality standards at a reasonable price. The quality and precision of our greenhouse equipment are of the highest priority.”

LumiGrow, a smart horticultural lighting company, designs and manufactures smart LED grow lights for commercial crop cultivation.  Their horticultural LED solutions are built to endure greenhouse environments while maintaining high light output throughout a much longer lifetime than traditional HPS lighting technologies, resulting in robust and reliable medical-grade cannabis production.

The smart LED grow lights also have a range of software features that further ensure consistent crop quality and yield. The LEDs adjust automatically to create an ideal greenhouse lighting environment by using LumiGrow Light Sensors that plug directly into the fixtures. The grow lights can further be controlled wirelessly from any smartphone, tablet, or computer for intensity, photoperiod, and spectrum.

The LumiGrow TopLight fixtures will be monitored remotely by LumiGrow Customer Support. “LumiGrow will be monitoring our fixtures’ performance and notify us of any issues before we can catch them. LumiGrow’s Research Department has also already begun working directly with our growers to ensure our lighting environment is dialed-in correctly and is in-line with our larger cultivation strategy. It’s a true partnership more than it is a vendor relationship” said the LP’s President.

The LP is one of Canada’s first licensed cannabis producers. The new greenhouse continues a trend of increasing expansion among licensed producers in Canada seeking to meet a rapidly growing global demand.
