Calgary-based Thrive Growing modernizes plant production using advanced aeroponic growing techniques. The results improve cannabis production and provide strong financial upside for commercial growers.
The patented Thrive Terrace Garden System was developed for industrial-scale cannabis production and applies expertise developed from high volume systems in produce and horticulture.
Thrive’s Terrace Garden, with its first commercial harvest, over an eight-week growing period, achieved 2.8 times improved yield per square foot, and higher potency – with 50% reduction in operating costs.

With this approach Thrive is able to exceed key performance targets for a closed-loop environmental management system, by improving operating and utilization efficiency and increased number of harvests per year.
Thrive has also pioneered the single cola growing method and extractable root system in which many of the conventional challenges in cannabis growing are overcome, with important benefits: a smaller footprint; high production density; improved environmental controls; and, safer growing environment, including no pesticides.
A key integration piece of Thrive’s System is their preferred choice of water management. The AVIVE Healthy Water System, from Ottawa-based, SanEcoTec Ltd. The AVIVE water system has shown innovation in many different types of water, from drinking to irrigation. This enhancement caught Thrive’s attention, especially since AVIVE improves plant growth and root health.
