US (WA): Cannabis grow to remain open after fire, cause under investigation

The 'Phat Panda' marijuana grow in Spokane Valley will remain open after a fire on Saturday evening led to the evacuation of 80 employees.

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, a smoldering fire self-extinguished in a second-floor grow room on Saturday. The fire never got big enough to set off the building's sprinkler system, SVFD said.

The 80 employees have been evacuated without any injuries. Investigations are going on to understand the cause of the fire. Currently, there is no estimated cost of damages, however, the company will remain open.
