The operators of a Southern Oregon hemp-processing facility have been fined $825,000 after they allegedly let employees live and work in a condemned building, according to the Oregon’s Occupational Safety and Health division.
Oregon OSHA said on Tuesday that it had fined five businesses with connections to the hemp processing facility, which was located in Josephine County.
Inspection documents identify the operators of the facility as Yoram Levy, Jai B Levy and Yuval Magid, as well as two companies — Eighteen New Hope LLC and Safe and Simple LLC. Documents identify the Levys as owners of Eighteen New Hope, and Magid as the manager of Safe and Simple.
