US (MI): Portage to begin accepting MMJ business applications

The City of Portage has announced that it will begin accepting medical cannabis business applications Monday, November 18th.

According to an official press release, the Portage Office of the City Clerk will begin receiving applications for Medical Marihuana Facility Provisional Permits for Provisioning Centers, Secure Transporters, Safety Compliance Facilities, Grower Facilities and Processor Facilities.

The application deadline is currently set for 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13th. No applications will be accepted in part or in whole beyond the deadline, although the city reserves the right to extend the deadline.

Officials stress that applicants must have received pre-qualification from the Michigan Medical Marihuana Licensing Board in order to have their application considered - no exceptions.
