The demand for medical marijuana products continues to grow in New Mexico. Rachael Speegle, CEO of the Verdes Foundation, says she's reminded of the demand every day.
"We're seeing close to 800 patients a day between both of our locations," she said. "We sell out almost every day, and we don't have the ability to reproduce fast enough our products. It's a five-month life cycle for these plants."
Speegle said the state is approving more than 2,000 new patients a month. To keep up with demand, Speegle said she needs to expand.
"Without increasing the plant count, we can't serve these medical patients without the additional supply," she said.
