CAN (BC): Company behind huge Delta cannabis greenhouse raising $171 million

A company, which has among its assets a large-scale cannabis greenhouse in East Ladner, last week announced it is raising $CAD171 million dollars by selling shares.

Village Farms International announced that it has entered into definitive agreements with certain institutional investors for the purchase and sale of an aggregate of 10,887,097 common shares in a registered direct offering.

Each share is being sold at a public offering price of US$12.40, which works out to over CAD$15 per share.

The company says that closing of the offering is subject to customary closing conditions, including applicable stock exchange approvals, and is expected to close on or about Jan. 20, 2021.
