Award for biodegradable paper technology

At the 2021 Green Expo held in Queensland, Australia, Ellepot’s newest development in paper technology, the Ellepot Organic 2.0, won the award for best new product in the Allied Trade category. The paper material in Ellepot Organic 2.0 is certified by the Soil Association, FSC, Rainforest Alliance and TÜV Austria, with the most recent certifications being OK Compost HOME and OK Biodegradable SOIL from TÜV Austria.

Ellepot was represented at the Green Expo by the team from Proptec, Ellepot’s partner in Australia, and Ellepot Regional Sales Manager Darran Stone. Brad Skinner, Managing Director of Proptec (pictured right), and Darran Stone (pictured left) were on hand to receive the award.

Ellepot Organic 2.0 consists of 100% fully compostable and biodegradable materials. "The patented technology for the paper is the result of six years’ intense product development. A development process to ensure environmental compliance at every stage of the paper’s life cycle, including material selection, handling, testing, & degradation," they say.

Certified and ideal for organic production
With a decomposition time of 6-8 weeks, the Ellepot Organic 2.0 is ideal for producers of organic crops and crops with a shorter propagation time. "The paper is made from wood fibers sourced from FSC certified forests and other controlled sources, and is furthermore approved  Soil Associations in many countries, including UK, Denmark, Sweden & Canda," the team with Ellepot explains.
