US (CO): Pueblo County amends code for cannabis cultivation facilities, adds odor reduction requirement

New cannabis cultivation facilities in Pueblo County must have proper ventilation systems to mitigate odor if they are close enough to another business or home.  

It’s one of the amendments to cannabis regulations in the county code that the Pueblo Board of County Commissioners approved on March 25, mostly related to outdoor cultivation.

The text amendment was based on recommendations from the county’s Marijuana Regulatory Working Group, which was created last year to address the impact of the expanding cannabis industry in Pueblo. 

“This is obviously a very robust text amendment overhaul and house cleaning for a lot of our code, which is at sometimes overly complex and robust. I appreciate the efficiency we are pushing for here,” commissioner Garrison Ortiz said during a March 23 meeting.
