US (MT): Missoula City Council adopts new cannabis business regulations

The Missoula City Council has adopted new cannabis business regulations. Besides new rules for dispensaries including being at least 500 feet from other businesses and the prohibition of frosted glass storefronts, grow operations, too, has to deal with some new rules.

With a 6-4 vote on Monday night, the council voted tp amend the Title 20 zoning ordinance of the Missoula municipal code.

These amendments have to do with the location of the grow operations. Operations of 1.000 square feet or less or allowed to operate in most commercial zones and mixed-use zones, but operation of up to 2.500 square feet can only operate in commercial and industrial zoning districts. All operations over 2.500 square feet have to be in industrial zones.
