The Livermore Falls, Maine, Planning Board approved three site plan review applications in November for medical cannabis establishments, Chairman Tom Barker said. Four applications were received, but one applicant withdrew the application.
Residents voted 482-257 to enact an ordinance providing procedures and standards relating to the operation of medical cannabis caregiver retail stores, medical cannabis cultivation facilities, and medical cannabis manufacturing facilities.
Selectmen approved a local license application form on November 23 for those who want to operate a medical cannabis establishment in the town. Selectmen are responsible for approving or denying an application at the local level.
