Additional funding for Plantalux

Plantalux has secured a 1.2 mln euro investment from a Polish investment fund. For this amount, the JR Holidng ASI S.A. fund, managed by entrepreneur and stock market investor January Ciszewski, will acquire shares representing 15% of Plantalux share capital. The acquired funds will be allocated to the company's development projects.

Plantalux deals with advanced technology to support plant growth in a strictly controlled environment (greenhouses, indoor farms). The company's main products are advanced LED lamps and control systems. The company's customers are greenhouses and indoor farms (including vertical farms). Plantalux products are present in many countries, including Kazakhstan (greenhouses), Switzerland, USA, and North Macedonia (indoor farms). Last year, the company opened its own photometric laboratory and an indoor research and development center, where work on new products is continuously carried out.

"Attracting an investor will allow us to strengthen our position in currently served markets and enter new and very promising ones. At the January Fair of Fruit and Vegetables we plan to show our new series of LED lamps for illuminating plants in greenhouse crops and a climate computer, which will be in our offer from the first quarter of 2022," declares Jakub Lachowski, Plantalux's Managing Director.

Thanks to the financing obtained, in the next three years the company plans primarily to increase the presence in the markets on which it already conducts sales and to enter new markets, such as Russia (greenhouses), Greece (indoor farms, greenhouses, hybrids) or the Netherlands (greenhouses). "The latter country is particularly important for image reasons, as the Netherlands is the cradle of greenhouse cultivation", the team says. The investment will be carried out in four tranches provided that Plantalux meets its objectives.

"Plantalux is another investment in which we have high hopes. It is a company that offers innovative, highly specialised products and is constantly conducting research to develop its offer. It is important for us that its products are already verified on the market and the company's realizations are large, such as about 5500 LED lamps installed recently in Kazakhstan," adds January Ciszewski.
