NL: Another grower receives license to grow in the cannabis supply chain experiment

The Netherlands is continuing to set up their closed cannabis supply chain experiment to establish a fully regulated adult-use cannabis industry in one of the world's oldest cannabis markets. The names of all of the participants are not all known yet, and thus far, we got the chance to speak only with one of them, namely Cannamax. At the same time, yesterday Eric Siereveld, CEO of Dutch Passion, has announced on LinkedIn that his company Aardachtig was awarded a license.

"Our main goal: To make this experiment a success," the company's website reads. "The experiment is successful if we can demonstrate that it is possible to realize a closed cannabis supply chain (from seed-to-sale). The cannabis grown must be of the highest quality and the line between the cultivation and the consumer of the end product must be watertight."

"But our bar is higher. We want to move on. The experiment offers the cannabis industry an opportunity to move from obscurity to clarity, from illegal to legal, from Twilightzone to Transparency. It's time to break down the longstanding stigma on cannabis."
