“Servicing the ever growing demand for cannabis in Europe”

Serbian cannabis grower expands into construction and post-harvest services

“The cannabis industry is one of the fastest growing in the world. Still, there are countries that are less explored yet are very convenient for cultivating cannabis. Serbia is one of them, seeing its opportunity in growing this very useful plant because of the high profits as well as job growth,” says the Canexus team. “Canexus is the only certified company in Serbia that deals with the production of industrial cannabis, and it works according to the highest European standards.” While planning to increase its production, the company is now also venturing into some new partnerships and services and is aiming to become the main advisory for the future of hemp growers.

First CBD flowers to be sold in Serbian stores
Even though last year was difficult for many companies due to COVID-19, Canexus was fortunate to realize a partnership with famous Balkan known brand “Zla Zla” as their distributor. In cooperation with Zla, Canexus launched their product “Lemon Haze” in stores all over the country.

By launching “Lemon Haze,” Canexus was the first cannabis production company ever to sell CBD flower products in stores throughout Serbia. After the impressive success of Lemon Haze, they decided to provide the customers with a new product called “Purple Haze,” which will be launched soon.

Increasing crop harvest and diversity
Through their partnership with Grocal Consulting, Canexus is producing high-quality cannabis with an increase in crop harvest and diversity. “By sourcing some of the finest CBD genetics, we continue to select the finest phenotypes with diverse and complex terpene profiles. Because of that, Canexus continues to lead the way in Serbia's budding cannabis industry,” says the Grocal Consulting team.

Offering new services
Starting in 2022, Canexus also offers professional construction services for building cultivation centers for turn-key cannabis growing, covering both cannabis greenhouse and indoor grow environments. “We help growers automate and control all the elements in their cannabis greenhouse, or indoor industrial cannabis grow facility for the best plant growth. For cannabis growers, we integrate sophisticated irrigation systems with grow lighting, light deprivation, air filtration exchange, CO2 dosing, odor control, and heating and cooling where required. We handle projects of different sizes, such as new builds, remodels, repairs and renovations. As a cannabis contractor, we follow industry-related guidelines and work with projects from start to finish.”

Also, starting this year, Canexus began offering services of drying, trimming, and packing CBD flowers. “On request of the customer, a team can be arranged for harvesting, cutting, and cleaning crops; manual trimming carried out in controlled environments, quality control, and careful packaging.”

Satisfying the demand
But that is not all. Canexus continues to grow, and plans are in the works to increase production capacities further to satisfy the demand for a qualitative and competitive product. “We want to increase the area of outdoor cultivation, as well as increase the area (capacity) of indoor production that is in progress. We hope that at this pace, we will be able to meet the needs of our clients,” the Canexus team adds.
