Guam: "We are open to changing industry rules"

The government of Guam must start accepting applications from adult-use cannabis businesses by August 27, according to the Cannabis Control Board.

The board’s members said they are open to changing some of the industry rules and regulations that took effect on May 29.

Board members said they support the idea of residents owning and operating more than one type of cannabis business and also eliminating the requirement that cannabis is grown using only organic nutrients.
 
Monday’s board meeting was the first since the adult-use cannabis rules and regulations took effect. However, board members said government regulatory agencies still aren’t prepared to accept applications from cannabis businesses.
