US (VT): Looking back on one year of cannabis retail

With Vermont marking the one-year anniversary of legalized retail cannabis on October 1, the economic and cultural effects of this new market are being felt statewide.

Some told NBC5 that it won't be long until cannabis that's grown and sold in Vermont will be another product to put the Green Mountain State on the map, joining craft beer, ice cream, and flannels.

Over the past year, growers and retailers have been working to meet the changing supply and demand needs of this rapidly expanding market.

"The biggest change I've seen has just been in the public perception of cannabis," said Nathaniel "Nat" Williams, the dispensary manager at Ceres Collaborative in Burlington.
