Australian medical cannabis grower Cann Group has put its flagship Mildura facility up for sale. Real estate firm LAWD is presenting the sale of the 35,000 square meter greenhouse, which is located on 13.5 hectares of land. The firm calls it "one of the largest and most technologically advanced indoor medicinal cannabis cultivation and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing facilities in the southern hemisphere." Expressions of interest are due by September 19.
Cann Group itself has not yet announced anything regarding this news. In early 2023, the company sold its Southern facility, with the plan of consolidating the majority of its operations in Mildura. Just a month ago, the company was looking to hire a Glasshouse Systems Lead for the Mildura facility.
The Mildura listing gives an overview of the key investment highlights. It shows that the production is focused on delivering a diverse product range including local dried flower and oils, 'Botanitech' flower oil and vapes, bulk dried flower and 'Sapitiphram' Cannabidiol (CBD) capsules. According to the real estate firm, the investment opportunity provides multiple revenue streams, with the facility providing an additional contract growing, packing and laboratory service. "Also, an aggressive breeding program sits alongside an aggressive seed importation and phenotyping program, targeting the leading breeders in North America." Lastly, "a highly experienced executive team boasting unique skillsets across pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, finance and M & A, big-pharma management, marketing, a best-in-market legal and regulatory affairs team and agronomy."
