Canopy Growth Polska retires flagship product over quality concerns

Polish pharmacies have received a message from Canopy Growth Polska as the company has decided to withdraw one of its flagship varieties of medical cannabis from its portfolio – Penelope, reports mgr.farm

According to the publication, the company's decision was dictated by concerns over the quality and safety of patients.

Apparently, the Penelope variety has become more susceptible to quality fluctuations, due to its age. This in turn poses a risk to the standards that patients and healthcare workers expect.

Although registering new varieties of medical cannabis in Poland is time-consuming, the company is working on introducing a substitute for Penelope.
