US( (KY): First license winners announced

Governor Andy Beshear announced the results of the first of two license lotteries for medical cannabis dispensaries. Four businesses from Owensboro and Henderson were selected at random draw to be the first to receive medical cannabis dispensary licenses. Officials say 36 applicants were selected at an event Monday morning at the Kentucky Lottery Corporation in Louisville. It is said the applicants were selected through a random number generator.

Governor Beshear says, "Team Kentucky has worked hard to ensure that all medical cannabis business applicants have an equal and fair chance to become a part of this emerging industry."

Out of the seven counties in the Green River region, four businesses were selected from both Daviess and Henderson counties.

The four businesses selected in the first lottery are OTC KY 3 LLC from Henderson, Bungalow House LLC from Owensboro, Tree Soft LLC from Henderson, and CP INVESTMENT LLC from Owensboro.
