Dutch cannabis retail stores (known as coffeeshops) participating in the Closed Coffeeshop Chain Experiment may continue to sell 'illegal' (from the backdoor policy) hash until September, as legal hash is not yet deemed good enough for sale to the public. After the new postponement, however, further delay is out of the question, say Minister David van Weel and State Secretary Vincent Karremans in a letter to the House of Representatives, as reported by regional media such as BN DeStem.
At the start of the last phase of the experiment on April 7, a delay concerning hash was also already in place.
Trimming waste at participating grower Hollandse Hoogtes is used to make hash.
