Head Grower Strawberries, Norway
It’s all about strawberries. This Norwegian company, situated near Oslo, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head Grower Strawberries to join their enthusiastic team. The company is growing strawberries in substrates on tabletops in polytunnels. The production period is from June until October and the annual production is approx. 500 tons. In the winter period there will be time for strategic planning and maintenance. All strawberries are sold in the domestic Norwegian market. Production is done without pesticides and they are using modern software for work and cost monitoring.

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for a staff of Assistant Growers, QC Staff and Labor Supervisors and will report directly to the General Manager. He or she will supervise all aspects of growing fresh fruits from planting, cultivation, irrigation, pest and disease control, climate control and harvesting of the crops to managing the implementation of technical procedures.
The Requirements
The candidate we are looking for is hands-on and has a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a grower in a controlled climate. A strong understanding of plant growth as well as plant physiology and interaction with varying environmental conditions and requirements is essential. He or she is familiar with Priva computer software and horticultural terminology. The successful candidate likes to take initiative, is a team player and has strong communication skills in English, written and oral.
He or she must be an EU citizen, willing to live and work in Norway for 100%. The company can provide accommodation.
