MedMen Co-founder and CEO Adam Bierman will be a lecturer at the business and culture conference WORLDZ in Hollywood on Aug. 1, where he will share his experience on disrupting the status quo and unlocking huge potentials in the booming, multi-billion dollar cannabis industry.
Mr. Bierman is a voice for institutional best practices as the cannabis industry sheds decades of stigma and grey market customs to emerge as a 21st Century economic engine. He will partner with Tracy Ryan, chief executive and founder of CannaKids, to lead a provocative session titled, 'Up in Smoke: Demystifying Cannabis, Disrupting the Status Quo.' Attendees will be encouraged to challenge myths and long held beliefs in their own respective fields.
"This is an incredible opportunity to reach an influential audience of future leaders and encourage them to be disrupters in their own right," Mr. Bierman said. "MedMen is shattering long-held myths about cannabis and making it mainstream. I am honored to present with Tracy and share our experience."
Ms. Ryan is a cannabis cancer advocate who founded CannaKids after her 8 ½ month-old infant was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, and she used cannabinoid therapy successfully to treat her child.
"Adam and his team were one of the first industry contacts I ever made when starting CannaKids," said Ryan. "It's so fortuitous that we are now sharing this stage so many years later. They have been such an incredible brand to watch and learn from, and I am honored to teach this class alongside someone I have long admired."
