Emily Ham graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Environmental Geoscience from Brock University in 2017. Currently, Emily is pursuing her Master’s degree in Earth Science at Brock, investigating microplastic levels in local water systems and agricultural soils.
The goals of this research are to raise awareness of the presence and pathways of microplastics in Lake Ontario and on agricultural fields, and encourage others to consider the impact that our daily plastic consumption has on our environment.
Emily is a member of the Water and Environment Lab (WEL) at Brock and has previously pursued research on tree ring growth in Yellowknife, NWT.
