Cogeneration in cannabis greenhouses

As with any type of greenhouse, even when it comes to greenhouses used to grow medical cannabis, it is necessary to understand what the electrical and thermal demand is in order to size a cogeneration installation appropriately. Most importantly, however, during the design phase it is necessary to carefully evaluate the temperature control of the greenhouse, which must be between 65 and 80 °F (18 to 27 °C) and a humidity between 40% and 70%.

"We need to understand what is the lighting and the cooling capacity of the facility. Often, operators don't have this data. We step in and help them understanding practical approaches to the design, and then work backwards from there," states Zev Ilovitz, Grow Energy Managing Partner, in a video.
