The council approved a purchase agreement offer from Green Labs LLC and AGL Properties LLC, both of Wallbridge, Ohio, to purchase Lots 5 and 6 for $44,700, adding onto Lot 4. Green Labs LLC is part of the cannabis industry building a presence in Morenci.
Green Labs LLC and AGL, according to the purchase agreement, must construct a 20,000-square-foot facility on Lot 4 and employ 10 full-time people within 18 months. Within three years, expansion must extend to Lots 5 and 6 and an addition all five full-time jobs must be filled. Morenci city officials set up requirements for those wishing to build medical marijuana facilities in the industrial park, including square footage of facilities, the number of employees and the timelines in which those must take place.
The LLCs agreed to buy Lot 6, as it would become landlocked otherwise, Sessions said. Because Lot 6 is considered landlocked, the city will not require a 20,000 square-foot facility be built specifically on that lot.
