LED solutions for horticulture

Vossloh-Schwabe launches the new LUGA COB LED Horticulture modules which provide a highly efficient COB technology with 2 different spectra optimized for vegetative and generative plant growth. Compared to other LED technologies LUGA COBs offer an extremely long service lifetime with chemical resistance, combined with a high photon flux (up to 177 µmol/s) and outstanding efficacy (up to 2.7 µmol/J).

Vossloh-Schwabe provides the LUGA modules both in square (19x19 mm or 28x28 mm) as well as linear versions (280x15 mm) for maximum luminaire design flexibility. In addition, numerous accessories such as matching LED optics with IP65 protection for the square versions, LED drivers, PCB holders and various reflectors are available to perfectly suit your application.

The so-called "Leaf" spectrum is recommended for plants and vegetables which should have an optimized vegetative growth. Due to an increased spectral emission in the infrared (> 700 nm), as well as in the green (500–560 nm) spectral range, the growth of the plants can be positively influenced. The slightly pink-coloured full spectrum light (white light with a colour rendering > 80) also shows an improved compatibility for the employees in the vicinity of the illumination solution and facilitates plant inspection.

The other spectrum available in the LUGA COB Horticulture family is "Bloom". This spectrum shows an optimized effect on ornamental plants and young seedlings, which need support in the flowering or in the initial growth stage. The spectrum is characterized by its focus on the blue and red spectral range, which provides maximum efficiency in photosynthesis.
