InstantGMP, in conjunction with the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), California Cannabis Industry Association (CCIA), and the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) have announced the 2019 Greenfield Grant – the only contest in the cannabis, CBD, and hemp markets that helps companies become 'industry superstars'. Crowning of the winner will be at the Marijuana Business Convention & Expo in Las Vegas.
"The green rush is now the green revolution," the team with the company says. "While the industry is flourishing, companies face new challenges: changing regulations, inconsistent consumer experiences, growing pains, and finding that x-factor to stand out in such a competitive market. The vision behind creating the Greenfield Grant is to help startups propel their brand by taking operational management, production scalability, traceability, product quality, batch consistency, and compliance to the next level."
Dollar Dose, the manufacturer of THC-infused lozenges, won last year’s grant and was recently ranked by Leafly in the top 6 for edibles under $5. Reflecting on winning and receiving the grant’s prizes, Co-Founder Daniel Thomas had this to say –
“With rapid growth comes increased operational complexity. Moving from paper records to the InstantGMP™ TNT system has been a key step in the furthering of our compliance and quality assurance efforts. These efforts are evident by the positive feedback we have received during our inspections with the CA Dept. of Public Health before transitioning from temporary to annual licensure in April of 2018.”
One startup will be selected as the grand prize winner and will receive the following:
- All-in-one manufacturing and quality software InstantGMP™ TNT for cannabis processors or InstantGMP™ PRO for CBD and hemp producers, infusers, and extractors
- Depending on location, either the California Cannabis set or Full PRO set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- 200 Hours of software training, consulting, and hands-on project management, as well as software roll-out
