Canadian company looks to grow its business in the European marketplace

VRE Systems opens European office

VRE Systems, a company with over 40 years of experience in the horticultural industry, has opened a European office in The Netherlands to better meet the needs of current European customers and to expand the market reach into Europe and other overseas markets.

One of the key product lines that VRE Europe will be promoting will be VRE’s specially engineered line of growing, cloning and drying products that have been developed for the professional cannabis grower. "These products, which feature materials that allow them to be used in facilities where food grade products are required, have been increasing steadily in sales as countries follow Canada’s lead in legalizing marijuana," the company says.

“VRE has a long history of serving the horticultural industry in Canada,” says Joe Shuker, SVP of Business Development and Leadership, explaining the decision. “We are extremely proud of the products and services we offer, and with various European countries such as Germany, Portugal and others taking steps to legalize cannabis, we feel our products can help companies in these countries as they grow and evolve.”

Products included in the IPPS line include a grow cart with both T5 and LED lights, a 30- and 60-tray drying system, NSF-certified resin drying trays (which are designed specifically for the drying cart), and a hanging drying rack. All the products are coated in a proprietary food grade thermoplastic powder coat that is approved by the FDA and the NSF for use in food (ie. Cannabis, microgreens etc) facilities.

There has already been significant interest in the products in Europe, notes Shuker, with the VRE European team meeting many interested buyers at the recent Greentech trade show in Amsterdam in June. “Our European office didn’t officially open until July 1,” says Shuker, “but since Greentech is the largest and most recognized horticultural show in Europe, and this year allowed cannabis-specific companies to exhibit, we thought it was the best time to introduce our team and our products to the public.”
