US (MA): Cannabis cultivator & retailer propose Framingham operations

Proposals for two Framingham cannabis-related developments, a 112,000-square-foot cultivation facility and a retail store, will go before the Planning Board Thursday evening.

The proposed indoor cultivation facility, named Commonwealth Farm, would be built at 1062 Edmands Road near the border with Marlborough and Southborough. The cultivation facility at Eastleigh Farm would employ 100 full- and part-time workers, with a larger building for cultivation and a smaller one for support operations, including conference rooms and packaging.

Commonwealth Farm has told the city in application forms it will take security measures on the site including limiting access to only employees, law enforcement, contractors and regulatory officials. Deliveries will leave the facility two or three times a week in unmarked vans, and signs for the facility will be discrete.
