On humidity
Humidity is a very big issue for cannabis growers, and Cengiz is very much aware of that. “The biggest issue in cannabis production is humidity control, or also, the lack of such a control,” Cengiz points out. “This is especially the case during black-out situations, when the rapid increase in humidity has to be constantly checked in order not to trigger any additional and unnecessary stress to the plants. Additionally, it is a general rule to keep the humidity under control to stay within a certain VPD level target, thus keeping the plant happy and allowing them a faster growth.”
Control over climate
According to Cengiz, most of the issues that cannabis growers encounter are related to inadequate control over the climate. “Growing cannabis is a truly delicate process,” he observes. “It is also serious R&D work. Many growers, indeed, are not entirely sure how to achieve high quality product with efficiency. Due to the attractiveness of the investment, many experts are trying to direct growers into this endeavor even though they might not have enough knowledge and experience.”
That is why Timfog has developed solutions in order to empower growers and supply them with the necessary tools to be successful. “Our solution is a unique approach to climatization in greenhouses,” Cengiz remarks. “It applies known solutions from other industries to greenhouses. Greenhouse and indoor
Timfog solutions are suitable for both indoor farms and greenhouses, according to Cengiz. He further explains that opting for one type of facility is dependent on the geographical location of a cannabis operation. “Our solution can be used for both indoor and greenhouse cultivation,” he says. “To grow medical cannabis, you need to be efficient in order to ensure a high end quality. Greenhouses are suitable for this endeavor only if the external climate conditions are favorable. Also, it is important to take into consideration the reaction of the community where said cannabis operation is carried out. Sometimes, issues that growers face do not come from nature, but from society.”
