Van der Hoeven Horticultural Projects B.V. and CannabiDol are going to cooperate

"Higher production, with a lower risk of diseases."

Van der Hoeven Horticultural Projects B.V. and CannabiDol are going to cooperate. Bas Duijvestijn and John Dol announced this last week.

As Sales Manager at Van der Hoeven, Bas Duijvestijn has seen the demand for cannabis projects increase for some time. This strong demand is often accompanied by some uncertainty about what such a project should look like. There is much uncertainty about the correct way of growing, and there are few producers who grow cannabis in the same way. “Cannabis is currently one of the fastest-growing industries in the world and we are seeing market prices dropping,” says Bas. “This requires more efficient cultivation solutions, so five years down the line enough money can still be earned. Through the collaboration with John Dol, Van der Hoeven can lay down a complete package for entrepreneurs who want to grow cannabis optimally and sustainably. We can assist customers from the drawing board and the feasibility study up to and including the cultivation advice after the turnkey construction has been completed.”

John has more than twenty years of experience in horticulture, and has worked for several large vegetable producers in the past. In 2015, he made the switch to cannabis, and for several years he was VP of Cultivation for Curaleaf. John was responsible for designing and growing in thirteen growing facilities in ten states. This concerned outdoor crops, indoor crops and glasshouses. John is convinced of the added value of the semi-closed ModulAIR greenhouses that Van der Hoeven has perfected in recent years: “Van der Hoeven is virtually the only greenhouse builder capable of creating a climate in the greenhouse, regardless of the outside conditions. They have proven this in countries like Australia, Dubai and Japan. Because it is easier to maintain an even climate and achieve higher CO2 levels quite easily, this technology is ideal for cannabis cultivation. This gives me a guarantee for higher production, with a lower risk of diseases."

Various Canadian producers grow in, or are currently building a Van der Hoeven greenhouse. With this collaboration, Van der Hoeven Horticultural Projects and CannabiDol offer their customers a total solution for cannabis production, from feasibility studies and design, to realization and cultivation advice.
