Ferry Visser, Dutch grower, about Airmix

"This system is priceless"

Keeping the screen cloth closed while still ventilating and dehumidifying is not a challenge anymore, they say at Van der Ende Groep. Ferry van der Ende: "That is what the Airmix was developed for. The Airmix draws cool air from above the screen when the screen is completely closed and blows it into the cultivation area below the screen cloth. This way an optimal and constant climate is achieved. We get more and more requests to deliver the Airmix."

Ferry van der Ende (Van der Ende Groep)

Recently Van der Ende Groep organized a seminar called ‘Better climate with closed screen’. There was a lot of interest for this meeting. They came to listen to the presentations about the Airmix.

Peter van Weel (Weel.Invent)

What does the installation of Airmix mean for the screen?
Kevin Kuivenhoven of A1 Tuinbouwtechniek immediately says: "For the installation? Well ... nothing. There are no changes to the installation at all. ”But it is important that the standard hole in the screen fits seamlessly with the Airmix. That is very important. “We have been involved in the development of Airmix from the start. I even can say that we have the most experience. Together with Van der Ende we have developed a way to be able to make this accurate. And that is essential. If this is not done properly, the system will not work."

What does an Airmix system mean for the grower?
The system is connected to the climate computer and the measurements from the climate computer are translated into a specific valve position in the Airmix system. "There is a measuring box above the screen and a measuring box below the screen," says Tom. "The Airmix determines how to influence the air flow based on the humidity and temperature differences between the measurements of these boxes in order to achieve a certain humidity and temperature."

Tom Markus (Stolze)

When installing the Airmix system, the systems that may or may not be in the greenhouse are taken into account, so that it immediately connects well with the existing network.

Ferry Visser, grower in The Netherlands, is an Airmix fan from the start. When Tom Markus from Stolze Installatietechniek, shortly after installing the system, was called to grower Ferry Visser with the words "I hope you have set aside a lot of time in your agenda," Ferry thought for a while that something was wrong. The opposite was true. Ferry just called to thank Tom: "This system is priceless."
