US (CA): Glass House new 355,000 sq.ft. cannabis greenhouse

Glass House Group, the cannabis company behind a number of cannabis brands including Bella Thorne’s Forbidden Flowers may have just become the largest greenhouse cannabis producer in California.

According to information procured exclusively, the company, which previously operated a 150,000 square feet grow in Santa Barbara, recently completed its first harvests in a new greenhouse located in Carpinteria Valley. Boasting 355,000 square feet, the new facility takes Glass Houses’ total operating greenhouse space to more than 500,000 square feet – or almost ten football fields.

During a recent conversation, CEO Kyle Kazan explained Glass House’s greenhouses were deliberately built without acquiring any debt.

He said the team didn’t want to “just be big for big sake,” and that’s the principle that guided its conservative approach to sustainable growth with no debt.
