US: Cresco Labs and FlowerOne continue operating as essential businesses

"Cresco Labs views the health and safety of its customers, patients and employees as its number one responsibility during this challenging time," the team with the company explains.

"The company will continue to operate all of its dispensaries during regularly scheduled hours, as permitted, to ensure that the tens-of-thousands of patients and consumers that rely on its cannabis products for their daily wellness and quality of life continue to have access to them. In addition, Cresco Labs has heightened its already-stringent sanitation measures and implemented procedures at the retail level to ensure adequate social distancing between employees and consumers. Some of these measures include: driving traffic to alternative channels, including online ordering; text message staging notifications; home delivery (where applicable); and curbside pickup, which will be launching next week in Illinois."

"Cresco’s cultivation and production operations will continue to operate with elevated sanitation, quality and safety programs, which have been designed to mirror the highest standards used by food and beverage manufacturers across the country. In accordance with the guidance provided by the CDC, and with support from the company’s Public Health and Epidemiology consultant, Cresco is taking every step possible to provide the healthiest environment at its facilities nationwide," they further explain.

On top of Cresco Labs, also FlowerOne in Nevada will continue to operate its cultivation facility, so to not disrupt the supply chain and keep serving patients in-state. "The Company continues to operate its 455,000 square foot flagship cultivation and production facility and is doing so in a manner which is compliant with the social distancing and public health guidelines issued by Nevada Health. Flower One also confirmed that as of the date of this announcement, the Company has observed a notable increase in demand of both its wholesale and finished packaged products, due in part to the Company’s demonstrated capability to deliver a wide range of custom products to meet the pre-existing growing demand. This recent increase in consumer demand for cannabis products is consistent with trends in other state markets

Both of the companies are following the govt guidelines to ensure an higher cleanliness and hygiene, so to keep employees working in either the cultivations or the dispensaries safe. "We are confident that we have taken all reasonable, proactive and pre-cautionary measures at this time to protect the health and well-being of all our valued employees and the safety of our product," added Mr. Villazor, FlowerOne CEO and President.

Charlie Bachtell, Cresco Labs CEO and co-founder, continued, “It is in the most difficult times where the foundation of an organization matters, and character is revealed – this is when leaders lead."
