Royal Brinkman launches Can-Hub

“All the suppliers we work with bring a lot of knowledge to the table”

The cannabis industry is a very knowledge-intensive sector. The high value of the crop, and the substantial operational cost, push growers to be extremely efficient in order to thrive in such a competitive market. The need for knowledge is even more relevant when a number of growers cannot rely on an extensive horticultural background, which is necessary to smoothly run large-scale cultivation facilities. The knowledge required is not only related to cultivation processes themselves, but it is also related to the understanding of the wide range of technological solutions on offer, and which of these are more suitable for a specific operation.

Gathering knowledge
This is the reason why Royal Brinkman is launching Can-Hub, a new website where all the suppliers working with them are gathered, along with knowledge blog posts that shed light on different aspects of cannabis cultivation. “We want to deliver a website that showcases the products that Royal Brinkman can supply with their partners,” Matthew Dent with Royal Brinkman explains. “There is a product section which is broken down to the facility itself, illustrating the different stages of cannabis cultivation.”

Education is paramount
At the same time, Matthew takes care to point out that the website is very much knowledge-based. “All the suppliers we work with bring a lot of knowledge to the table,” Matthew says. “They have very interesting and informative blog posts on their websites, but there is no place where you can find all of that together. So, we decided to tie in the products together with knowledge. The focus of such blog posts is not on the products themselves, rather they represent more of a learning experience for the customer. Their purpose is to guide the customer in their decision-making.”

That is also the reason why the website has a separate section solely dedicated to IPM. “This is because IPM itself is its own in-depth area of cultivation,” Matthew remarks. “We take IPM extremely seriously, and therefore it should be treated in the same way as propagation is, for instance.”

On top of this, the website will also feature a news and announcement section, “where partners can release new products and news on how they advance the sector,” Mathew says. “Additionally, there will also be a section with an upcoming events list, and also what kinds of products are released during these trade shows.”

The Can-Hub website officially launches today. Click here to check it out.
