Dehumidification without screen adjustments

The importance of dehumidification in the greenhouse is clear to everyone. Growers want to keep diseases and pests out of the (greenhouse) door as much as possible. A low RH (Relative Humidity) makes an important preventive contribution to keep the crop healthy and strong. Prins Group introduces a new Multi Climate solution, the Prins Group Air Control℗. According to Marco Zwinkels, sales manager of Prins Group: "The most unique feature of this product is that we can dehumidify by using the greenhouse construction. Adjustments to the screens are unnecessary with Prins Group Air Control℗. The greenhouse construction therefore plays an important role. In addition to the strength of the greenhouse, it now also serves to get an optimal climate in the greenhouse. With this installation you also lose minimum radiation from the outside, because the fans are placed on the construction."

Mixing air
By measuring the climate both above and below the closed screen fabric, the climate computer can control the Prins Group Air Control℗ in the desired way. In this way, the desired humidity can be achieved in the greenhouse. The Prins Group Air Control℗ can be applied while using closed horizontal screen fabrics. The air from above the screen cloth is mixed with air under the screen cloth, while the screen cloths remain 100% closed. Sales manager Tom van Veen adds: "Because the screens remain completely closed, you save on CO₂ injected in the greenhouse. Of course, that also results in energy savings, because growers don't have to leave moisture gaps between the horizontal screen fabrics anymore."

Installation
Prins Group Air Control℗ can be installed in both existing and new greenhouses.

When there is a request, Tom van Veen and Marco Zwinkels would like to visit the growers to see the situation and make a tailored proposal. A calculation will be made first. These calculations can provide answers to the questions, for example where, how many and how high the fans should hang. That is an important first step in order to achieve the optimal result. Afterwards, well-thought-out solutions must be made in order to place the fans directly on the greenhouse construction.

The fans of the Prins Group Air Control℗ can hang at any desired height. The position of the fans depends on the crop and circulation systems in the greenhouse. The Prins Group Air Control℗ can be combined with any circulation system, either vertical or horizontal fans. The light emission with this system is zero, because the screen cloths can remain 100% closed.
