Codema and Gideon de Jager part ways

Codema announces to go into the future without commercial director Gideon de Jager. De Jager had worked for Codema for a total of 17 years. During these years, De Jager has held various positions within the company.

"Codema shows respect for the work ethic and boundless energy with which he has committed himself to the company and its customers. Codema looks to the future with great confidence for both De Jager and the company and wishes De Jager every success in his further career", according to the company's statement.

In 2018, investor Nordian Capital took a majority stake in Codema, the company founded 60 years earlier and acquired by Maarten de Jager in 1998. With the departure of his son Gideon, the active involvement of the family in the company comes to an end.

"The achievements we have made with the team, both at home and abroad, are impressive and characteristic of the developments that the horticultural sector as a whole is going through," says Gideon. "My passion for and commitment to international horticulture certainly does not end with this.
