US: The Hemp Mine to kick off a new edition of the Field Trials in September

The Hemp Mine is hosting two field day trial events starting in September. One in Fair Play, South Carolina, at The Hemp Mine headquarters on September 16th, and one in Litchfield, Michigan, at the Raker-Robert's Young Plants, on September 30th.

These events are meant to bring awareness to regional genetic performance by offering customers a firsthand experience. National data collection and performance evaluation allows farmers to have the proper tools to forecast, cultivate and bring value to their production. The Hemp Mine works hard to collaborate with other breeding companies, universities, vendors, and farmers to properly execute on validated field trials. THM Field Days are annual events and we hope you can make time to come evaluate the trials with us. Last year there were over 400 attendees and we expect even greater attendance this season.

"To do our part in the progression of this industry, The Hemp Mine, LLC's 2020 variety trials focuses mainly on the East coast but span across the USA," Travis Higginbotham with The Hemp Mine explains. "These trials are not just customers risking a failed season on our behalf or a one time photo opp. These are real researchers obtaining elaborate data to help us decide where our existing varieties and new introductions perform well for a successful 2021 season. Red indicates commercial researchers and green represent university trials. All data will be made public. The circled stars represent the locations in which we will have field day events open to the public (see next post for details)."

There will be a max capacity of ~150 people per day. Once attendance surpasses 150, the company will open up the next day for ticket sales to ensure proper social distancing.

"The field Trials for The Hemp Mine are a massive undertaking and I believe we are leading the way with regional hemp genetic trials in the US. I would love to work with you to help this have the impact I know it deserves. No one else is bringing data around performance of hemp genetics like we are. I believe this is the largest hemp field trials in the US - 150 varieties in total being trialed!" Travis concludes.
