At the beginning of 2020 Thermo Energy Solutions was acquired by Gibraltar Industries, joining the Growing Solutions Group, comprised of Rough Brothers, Inc, (RBI) and Nexus Greenhouse Systems. Together, the brands are working to be a large resource for greenhouse growers.
“Having Tony join our team, our whole group, allows us to expand our footprint and bridge the gap between our Canadian and United States brands and offerings,” says Thermo General Manager, Henry Forese.
Tony originally came to North America in 1995 to introduce Hoogendoorn Climate control systems to the greenhouse industry. His background includes joining Agro Dynamics/Grodan as the head of their irrigation division and Meteor Systems to launch their North American division. Most recently he ran his own company, Cutting Edge Grower Supply, selling greenhouse supplies and equipment.
"We're working hard to build out the Growing Solutions group to ensure that we can be a single-source solution resource for our clients. It's one thing to design a greenhouse and another to be able to have sales representatives that understand the value of integrating the design of the systems and environmental controls. Not only do we do that, but we're able to take it one step further by offering general contracting so that we can oversee a project in its entirety and get our clients to the market sooner," said Tom Vezdos, General Manager for the Growing Solutions group.
