A New York firm wants to plant medical marijuana in a commercial greenhouse that previously grew orchids here.
High Street Capital Partners is expected to make its case Tuesday night before Mantua’s Land Use Board, which previously has rebuffed the Manhattan firm’s plans.
The cannabis crop would occupy an existing 110,000-square-foot greenhouse on the 500 block of Mantua Boulevard, according to the firm’s application before Mantua’s Land Use Board.
The venture would be operated by a nonprofit, Compassionate Care Foundation, under a permit issued by the state Department of Health, the application says.
