After two years of preparations, Nedcann North Macedonia, who have recently been granted licenses for the cultivation of medicinal cannabis and the sale of propagation materials by the North Macedonia government, is ready to begin operations.
Nedcann aims to be not only the largest, but above all the only cannabis grower in Europe that allows every cannabis variety to shine in its own secluded space, in ideal environmental indoor conditions under GAP and EU-GMP certification.
Both ownership and management of Nedcann is in Dutch hands: CEO Stephan van Gerven and COO Theo Overgoor jointly have 50 years of experience in the cultivation of cannabis and the application of superior Dutch cultivation technology.
The current first phase consists of 26 flowering areas and 7,500m2. Phase 2 and phase 3 which are under development will take the total to 24,000m2 of indoor growing area.
In addition to the core business - cannabis cultivation - Nedcann will collaborate with the world market leader in Tissue Culture, initially to serve the European and Asian market, but also beyond, if desired.
Furthermore, Nedcann works together with many companies that are members of the Legal Cannabis Coalition: "This warrants that we ensure worldwide top quality when it comes to cultivation technology, but also laboratory tests and life sciences," said Stephan van Gerven, CEO of Nedcann.
