Spectrum Technologies, Inc., expands their broad product offering
with the release of the LightScout® Quantum PAR/DLI Light Meter.
By using the Quantum PAR/DLI Light Meter, horticulturalists no longer have to guess how much light their plants are receiving. Because the amount of light delivered to plants, even across a small greenhouse, can vary greatly, the Quantum PAR/DLI Meter can be used to collect measurements from multiple locations. By using this information, growers can make more informed decisions. More accurate light measurements ultimately lead to growing greener, healthier plants.
The Quantum PAR/DLI Light Meter provides scientifically accurate (PAR) light readings under any light source. Readings can be taken from plants in full sun to full shade, indoors or outdoors, and under artificial light sources (such as LED, fluorescent, halogen, and high-pressure sodium bulbs).
In just 24 hours, the Quantum PAR/DLI Meter can compute and display DLI (Daily Light Integral) measurements. It offers three convenient modes of operation:
- Instant Spot Measurement Mode - shows PAR light readings
- Scan Mode - quickly averages PAR over an area
- DLI Mode - shows Daily Light Integral on the LCD (no computer
needed)
The Quantum PAR/DLI Meter’s compact size allows for light readings in small spaces without an additional external sensor. Additional features include an integral mounting plate, as well as a threaded
hole for camera tripod mounts, a sensor cover, and a protective case.
