CAN (AB): BOLD launches its Prairie-grown cannabis in Alberta

Saskatchewan-born producer, BOLD Growth, is heading west, bringing their high-quality craft cannabis products to the Alberta market. This week, cannabis consumers throughout Alberta will be able to find BOLD strains at their favourite retail store.

BOLD products are already a hit in their home province of Saskatchewan, having been on the local market for more than half a year. Now, BOLD hopes to supply all of Alberta, and has already been getting positive feedback from the province’s retailers who are looking forward to having BOLD products in stores.

“We are extremely excited to be part of the Alberta cannabis community and have our products available through AGLC,” says Andrew Condin, CEO of BOLD. He adds, “We know the passion that goes into our cannabis shows through in all our products.”

To start, BOLD is releasing three core strains: MAC1, The Vision, and Gelato. Each comes packed with a THC level of at least 20%. These are available in dried flower (in various sizes) and pre-rolls. BOLD will also have a revolving strain-specific offering in a discounted 15g format, with God’s Biker Kush being the first limited release. BOLD also plans to have their Northern Lights autoflowering feminized seeds available in Alberta, ready for early Spring.

BOLD’s focus is on making craft cannabis accessible. “We’re supplying higher THC strains at a reasonable price. With our constant search to source rare strains, we want to build curiosity around craft growers,” says Shayne Arnold, BOLD’s VP of Sales and Marketing.

The initial product roll-out for Alberta is just the beginning as BOLD plans to launch new interesting strains in the coming months. Arnold hints, “As a group of cannabis enthusiasts ourselves, there is nothing more satisfying than finding something special, and sharing it with our consumers and retail partners.”
