In celebration of Women’s History Month, Curaleaf’s “Rooted in Good” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is partnering up with Women Grow, focusing on supplier diversity and education for underrepresented communities across the cannabis ecosystem. "As a part of Curaleaf’s 420x25 initiative, we’ve set a goal to do business with 420 new cannabis brands, ancillary suppliers and advocacy organizations from underrepresented communities in the cannabis ecosystem by 2025," Curaleaf team explains. "In partnership with Women Grow, we look forward to connecting with women, BIPOC, Veteran and LGBTQ-owned business owners and building with these cannabis leaders across the 23 active legal states that we operate in."
Throughout March, Curaleaf’s Corporate Social Responsibility team will host programs and events in partnership with Women Grow that will uplift and support women in cannabis. "We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Curaleaf. At Women Grow, our goal is to be the resource and connector to unique opportunities for women in the industry, and Curaleaf's new program 420x25 aligns with our vision. Together we will provide woman entrepreneurs a chance to expand their business reach," said Gia Morón, President of Women Grow. "We have worked closely with an incredible team of women at Curaleaf on this initiative, but the commitment shows from the top leadership down they are here to provide a solution to a gap in our industry."
Led by Curaleaf Vice President of CSR, Khadijah Tribble, the Women Grow partnership is part of Curaleaf’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Social Equity programs. "This is a focused approach with the critical goal of ensuring that Curaleaf reflects through its actions and decisions that it values diversity and inclusion across intersections of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability status, veteran status, and socioeconomic backgrounds."
“This partnership is a key step forward in ensuring that our values are reflected at every level within the organization’s supply chain,” said Curaleaf Vice President of CSR Khadijah Tribble. “From cultivators and manufacturers to ancillary businesses within cannabis, we have set a critical goal of diversifying our supply chain, and we look forward to working with Women Grow to make that goal a reality. We’re thrilled to partner with Women Grow to connect with women all over the country, and work together to amplify the stories of women in cannabis.”
