A new product containing solely natural food-grade ingredients causes cannabis buds to mature to peak potency overnight and can boost their THC content as well, its manufacturer announced today.
Independent third-party lab tests have confirmed the effects of the Magic Flower Bud Finisher, reported Jo Hoeflich, the product’s inventor and chief executive officer of Magic Flower LLC. He explained that numerous tests have compared cannabis buds that were sprayed with the Bud Finisher and those that weren’t sprayed, all of them harvested simultaneously from comparable locations on the same plants.
The tests confirmed that the sprayed buds were often significantly higher in THC, he reported. “Equally remarkable, all the sprayed buds matured fully overnight. On the plant, it would have taken those same buds at least four to six additional weeks to mature to the same degree,” he said.
Hoeflich noted that this means an indoor cannabis grower using the Magic Flower Bud Finisher could generate an additional crop over the course of a year – with no appreciable increase in inputs such as electricity, heat/cooling, water and labor.
Hoeflich, a medical cannabis producer in Maine, invented the new product several years ago initially because he sought an environmentally benign way of preventing powdery mildew from infesting his crops. At the time, he lived in a swampy area where the mildew predominated in the surrounding forests, he said.
Having tried various all-natural pesticides and found them wanting, he set out to try to create one that would effectively prevent the mildew.
His concoction, an innovative blend of common spices and other food-grade ingredients like sesame seed oil and vinegar, not only proved effective against powdery mildew but also killed mites, thrips, molds, scale, and various soft-bodied insects. Yet the product also attracts helpful bug-eating pollinators like ladybugs.
Discovering that the mixture also causes cannabis buds to mature overnight was a lucky unexpected accident, he says. “It took me a month of testing to believe my own eyes, and at the end of that testing I realized I had discovered something special that would benefit many farmers. The magic is in the spices.”
