How do Eugenius and Health Pharms grow their flower power?

BIOS, a NASA spinoff in horticultural lighting, recently hosted a webinar with Trey Willison from Eugenius and Nice Robertson from Healthy Pharms. In this webinar they discussed how rebates can help the move from HPS to LED, lessons they’ve learned, and much more. You can watch this webinar on the BIOS Youtube Channel.

Trey Willison has over 20 years of experience in cannabis growing, and an extensive background in breeding for various traits such as potency, flower formation, and early-flower/auto-flower characteristics. Trey also speaks to the bottle necks you may encounter when scaling your grow operations and how to overcome them. “Every grow has specific goals in mind and every grow has specific bottle necks they will hit. When you find your bottle neck everything else has to be scaled around that.”

Nic is a second-generation cannabis grower who began his career on a commercial scale in the grey market of Rhode Island. He worked as an independent contractor, supplying dispensaries with his wares before moving back to his home state of MA in 2016 to help design and open one of the first 10 vertically integrated medical dispensaries in the state. Nic digs into the hop latent viroid that is sweeping the cannabis industry and much more. “The viroid has just been discovered in the last 5-6 years and attacks the plants in a way that can make them unviable.”

BIOS also featured an exclusive look into their 2nd Generation of DLC Listed LED grow lights, with Robert Soler, VP of Biological Research and Technology at BIOS. Robert discusses what went into the engineering and design of BIOS’s new LED grow lights to aid to the needs of growers. You’ll also learn about our in-house testing on the intensity, spectrum and directional output of our lights and the core value the team uses when designing and developing all BIOS products.
