MJBizCon has kicked off - tips and tricks on how not to get lost

MJBizCon has kicked off again, and it must be super nice to hit the show floor after such a long time spent in front of computers. We would be there going around booths and taking pictures, alas travel restrictions prevent us from doing that. We do however hope that you will share some photos with us, but before we get there, we have selected a few booths and events that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Ready. Set. Grow!
On Thursday 21, at 9am Jesce Horton, founder and CEO of LOWD, will have a talk on how to set up a cannabis cultivation operation. The old story goes that you can't grow at scale the same way you used to do in your basement, and so this session will shed light on what to expect when assessing startup and operational costs, as well as considerations on facility design and tips for team building. Surely a nice occasion for wannabe growers to further understand how to achieve the crop of their dreams.

urban-gro and Dual Draft
urban-gro has been making a lot of moves recently, and with the recent launch of the Dual Draft, the team is very much looking forward to showing you what the buzz is all about.

"Great turnout at the Dual Draft booth today at #mjbizcon. Stop by C7716 to see what’s got #cannabis #verticalfarms buzzing at the show!" said Mark Doherty of urban-gro.

Going vertical... and horizontal
With the huge impact that vertical farming has been having in the cannabis industry, it's completely understandable to be curious about that. Fortunately, there are many booths of well-established companies at the Vegas Convention Center. To mention just one, Pipp Horticulture. The company counts many vertical farming cannabis projects under its belt - and it also made the headlines this week with the acquisition of GGS Group. So, why not stop by their booth #C6235 and ask them some questions about vertical farming... and greenhouses too!

And thus came the light
With all the things happening in the lighting space of the cannabis industry, it doesn't come as a surprise that several companies are announcing new products during the show. AB Lighting, for instance, is launching a new LED lights, but also Philips with their new LED gridlighting; there's also Fluence with many new announcements (such as a water-proof light) or TSRgrow with new growing controls.

Photos, my kingdom for some photos!
Are you exhibiting at the MJBizCon? Then the MMJDaily team is looking forward to receiving your photos. Alas, we can't be there taking pictures and catching up with all of you because of travel restrictions.

So, will you be at the show? Then, take that selfie stick out, or strike a pose in front of your booth to show your products, and email your pictures to [email protected]. As we usually do with photo reports, we will mention the name of your company, and the products/services you are showcasing. In this way, also the part of the industry that couldn't travel there will get an impression of what's happening at the biggest cannabis show.
