A national non-profit association to support hemp growers has been formed in Germany. Nutzhanf-Netzwerk e.V. (“Hemp Network”) will promote hemp among German farmers and work to develop more local processing facilities, said Jörg Fierek, a vice-chairman of the new group.

Nutzhanf-Netzwerk said it will also advance opportunities for the use of industrial hemp in the construction sector as a way to help mitigate climate change.
